Mac Miller Has Died at 26

Mac Miller has died at the age of 26. TMZ reports Miller died of an apparent overdose. The Pittsburgh rapper, singer and producer was reportedly found dead in his San Fernando Valley home on Friday (Sept. 7) afternoon.  His family released a statement on the tragedy, asking for respect during this difficult time. "Malcom McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26," they wrote. "He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends, and fans. There are no further details available as to the cause of his death. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect the family’s privacy at this time." Miller's label, Warner Bros. Records also released a statement, mourning the loss of one of their greatest talents. “All of us at Warner Bros. Ariana Grande has released her fourth studio album titled Sweetener.
The album features guest appearances from Pharrell Williams, Nicki Minaj and Missy Elliott. The titles for the 15 songs on her album are all written in lower case and include the songs no tears left to cry, the light is coming and God is a woman. Ariana shared several pictures of herself in the studio making her album throughout 2017 and, in December of that year, she shared a snippet from the album on her Instagram, which was later revealed to be a track titled get well soon. Aretha Franklin, Legendary 'Queen of Soul,' Dies at Age 76

Aretha Franklin,
whose gospel-rooted singing and bluesy yet expansive delivery earned her the title "the Queen of Soul" has died, a family statement said Thursday. She was 76.

Franklin died at 9:50 a.m. at her home in Detroit, surrounded by family and friends, according to a statement on behalf of Franklin's family from her longtime publicist Gwendolyn Quinn.

The "official cause of death was due to advanced pancreatic cancer of the neuroendocrine type, which was confirmed by Franklin's oncologist, Dr. Philip Phillips of Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit," the family statement said.
